Georgia DOR proposes amendment to rule on manufacturing, machinery, equipment exemptions, TaxAnalysts.com (July 31, 2017) The Georgia Department of Revenue has proposed to amend a rule on sales and use tax exemptions for manufacturing machinery and equipment, industrial materials, and packaging supplies to remove a provision that prohibited the exemption for sales of motor vehicles - including components and repaint or replacement parts - required to be registered for operation on public highways.
