U.S. Solar Industry Posts Strong Results In Second Quarter 2012

According to a report published by the Solar Energy Industries Association on September 10, 2012 (http://www.seia.org/research-resources/us-solar-market-insight), the U.S. solar industry saw its second-best quarter in history for photovoltaic (PV) sales. Utility-scale projects led, with a record-setting 447 megawatts (MW) of solar power installed in the second quarter of 2012. Eight states had projects of 10 MW or greater: Arizona, California, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Texas.
