Rep. Paul Ryan formally accepted his party's nomination for Vice President in a speech before the convention last night. In it, he declared that "Obamacare comes to more than two thousand pages of rules, mandates, taxes, fees, and fines that have no place in a free country." He also called the Affordable Care Act the "greatest threat to Medicare," and promised that "a Romney-Ryan administration will protect and strengthen Medicare, for my Mom's generation, for my generation, and for my kids and yours." He did not, however, delve into the specific Medicare changes expressed in the party platform. Politico's David Nather breaks down what Ryan had to say about health care... and what he didn't.
