Mayer Brown Appoints Don Klawiter As Antitrust Partner In Washington, DC

October 10, 2007- International law firm Mayer Brown today announced that Donald C. Klawiterhas joined the firm's Antitrust & Competition Practice in Washington, DC asa partner.  Mr. Klawiter, 57, most recently served as a senior member of theantitrust practice at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.  Mr. Klawiter isa widely recognized leader in the national and international antitrust bar forhis expertise in dealing with criminal antitrust investigations and cases, andrelated civil litigation.  Mr. Klawiter has defended corporations andexecutives from six different continents in grand jury investigations andprosecutions, and he has served as international coordinating counsel in manymulti-jurisdictional proceedings.  He has substantial antitrust trialexperience as a prosecutor and as defense counsel.  From 1975 to 1986, Mr.Klawiter held senior supervisory positions with the Antitrust Division of theU.S. Department of Justice.  Commented MayerBrown Vice Chairman Kenneth S.
