Fujie, a Shareholder of the Los Angeles-based law firm, Buchalter Nemer, was elected to become the 84th President of the California State Bar. Ms. Fujie, who was elected by the Bar Association's Board of Governors on the first ballot, currently holds the position of Vice President. She has been a Governor of the State Bar, representing District 7 (Los Angeles County) since 2005. A longtime equal opportunity and pro bono advocate, Ms. Fujie also serves on the Board of Governors of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Board of Directors of Bet Tzedek, and the Advisory Board of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles.
