Clean Energy Policy Priorities For 2013

Mintz Levin hosted a roundtable discussion on November 27, 2012, led by the New England Clean Energy Council, to build consensus around the energy and clean technology sector's policy priorities for 2013. At the roundtable, energy and clean tech CEOs, consultants, attorneys, and industry association representatives considered possible short and long-term policy goals.

All present agreed that ensuring the Production Tax Credit's extension is an important and potentially attainable goal for Congress's lame duck session. Looking at long term priorities, participants hoped to see clean energy government procurement programs and RD&D continued and expanded. Additionally, participants advocated for new financing options, and extended incentives with predictable ramps downs tied to successful market penetration.
